The bay leaf is an aromatic leaf commonly used in cooking. It can be used whole or in a dried or ground form. Bay leaves are also known as bay laurel and are well know for their uses in magick. Most famously used by the oracles of Delphi to assist them in entering a trance like state. Used to enhance psychic ability, it goes without saying that they are desired for divination, clairvoyance, and the further development of psychic ability. It is said that if you place a bay leaf under your pillow it can work to facilitate prophetic dreams.

Bay leaves are one of several ingredients used in spells designed to grant wishes. They can be used to bring your goals within reach and many believe that if you write your wish on a bay leaf, and burn it, your wish will be fulfilled.

Bay leaves are also used for purification, cleansing, and warding spells. Sough for it's purifying properties similarly to eucalyptus. Bay leaves can be used in incense to aid sage and other herbs of purification.
